Outdoor Fine Arts and Fine Crafts Show Goes Virtual

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.-  Normally a week of celebration for local artists, Friday kicks off the Rehoboth Art League's, Outdoor Fine Arts and Fine Craft Show.

People usually come from out of state and even out of the country for the show. While this isn't how the art league expected to celebrate the shows 47th anniversary, they're making the most of it by moving online

"Ceramic artists, painters, photographers. Anything you can think of, they are represented," said Rehoboth Art League's Executive Director, Sara Ganter.

Art lovers can still enjoy all the show normally offers.

"We have a schedule of events which are some artist demos, studio tours, featured art work, an online auction and a raffle," said Ganter.

Items for auction are being held at the art leagues campus, for people to check out first hand.

For those itching to see artwork in person, the campus is open to the public. It's always free to come in and enjoy the galleries. Members say these past few months have been difficult for artists, and coming in is a great way to enjoy art and show support.

"They're really struggling this year with a slew of canceled shows and opportunities from places that shut down, so now is the time to support the arts," Ganter said.

With over 100 artist showcasings, there's no shortage of art and inspiration...even from a computer screen.

The show runs from August 1-9. To see the full schedule of events, visit the Rehoboth Art League's website.
