A newly upgraded playground at Canalfront Park is drawing concern from local parents who say the equipment is too close to the water and lacks a protective fence.

The plans for a future building that would be home to a new Lightship Overfalls museum could be voted on tonight by the Lewes Planning Commission. The plans call for removing an existing shed that is on the canal front between the basketball court and the Overfalls.

The City of Lewes is inviting interested bidders to submit proposals for the maintenance dredging of the slips at the Canalfront Park Marina and specified private marinas.
