QUEEN ANNE'S, MD -- After entering the fourth quarter down two scores, Queen Anne County storms back with two touchdowns from Wilson Smothers to pull out a 20-16 victory against North Caroline in both teams season opener.

After cutting North Caroline's 16-7 lead down to two, Queen Anne's drove the ball down to the redzone with just a minute left. After being stopped, they sent the field goal unit out to try and take the lead, but drew North Caroline for an encroachment penalty, giving them a new set of downs.

On the next play, Smothers scampered to his left, and dashed through the Bulldog defense to the end zone for the go-ahead, and ultimately game-winning, touchdown.

Smothers certainly carried the bulk of the offense for Queen Anne's, tallying three touchdowns on the night, with two on the ground and one receiving.
