Troopers Investigate Robbery of a Gas Station

(NEWARK, Del.)- Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of an area gas station which occurred Friday evening.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m., Friday, February 05, 2016, as a male suspect entered the Valero located at 770 Old Baltimore Pike. The suspect then approached two female clerks at the counter and demand the money from the register. The clerks complied with the suspect's demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then exited the store and fled in an unknown direction. No weapons were implied or displayed by the suspect. The clerks were not injured.

The suspect was described as a white male 20-25 years of age. He was 5'10" - 6'00" tall, and was last seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a mask partially covering his face. No further physical or clothing description is available at this time.

This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police. No video surveillance photos are available to be released at this time.
