(Keller, Va) - According to Sheriff Todd Godwin, on October 16, 2015 at approximately 10:46 AM, the Accomack County Sheriff's Office received a report of a subject shot at a residence on Keller Pond Road near Keller. Upon deputies arrival on the scene, 13 y/o Breonya Collins was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Collins was transported by rescue to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation into this incident has revealed that an altercation occurred at the Keller Pond Road location between Breonya Collins and 23 y/o Nicholas Martinez White of Onancock. During this altercation, a firearm was discharged resulting in Collins' injuries.
As a result of this investigation, arrest warrants were issued against Nicholas Martinez White for Second Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Murder. White is currently incarcerated in the Accomack County Jail with bond denied.
