(PORTSMOUTH, Va.) - The Coast Guard, along with state and local agencies, are searching Sunday for a missing 15 year old off Cape Charles.
Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads watchstanders received a call from North Hampton Police at about 6:30 p.m. reporting a fatigued man near the Cape Charles fishing pier who said he was in the water with a 15-year-old male struggling against a current, and the male was unaccounted for.
A 25-foot response boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape Charles and a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City are on scene along with personnel from the Virgina Marine Resources Commission and Cape Charles Fire Dept.
