"Controversial" Church Sermon Focuses on Porn

(HAMPTON ROADS, VA.)- A controversial sermon is causing a stir on Delmarva.

A church is launching what it calls "Porn Sunday."

According to its website, The Church at Hampton Roads is dedicating its October 5th sermon to pornography.

But the pastor will not be at the pulpit, a former porn star will.

Postage promoting the event has received backlash. Pastor Joel Brown says he knows the signs are shocking but said the event is to warn people about the dangers of porn addiction.

The website explains, "We understand the devastation that pornography is having on our society-- Marriages, relationships, our careers and our kids. Porn is NOT glamorous. It kills. It is also tied to human trafficking. People's lives are at stake with this topic. We are hitting this head on to see people set free. You will not want to miss this!"

The church is even reaching out to teens.

Some say this discussion should be left outside of church, while others say there's no better place.
