Michael Katz

Michael Katz, a local physician and former state senator, is running for Delaware’s U.S. Senate seat. Katz is a pediatric anesthesiologist with more than 40 years of experience in medicine, and previously served in the Delaware State Senate. While in the senate, he introduced legislation on term limits, government transparency and lobby reform. He was elected to the Senate as a Democrat, but is now registered as a Republican after running for U.S. Senate in 2024 as an Independent. Katz was endorsed by the Delaware Republican Party at the state convention.
