(SUSSEX COUNTY, Del.) - Food Lion supermarkets in the area have been preparing for change. Four Food Lion supermarkets in Sussex County will become Weis Markets on Friday, October 14. This includes stores in Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Millsboro, and Millville.
Employees worked hard converting the stores which will have more food, more food options, and a new look. The stores will offer a variety of local products as well as more than 3,000 Weis brand products. Store officials say the stores offer affordable food and options including produce, baked goods, meats, and fresh dairy items.
The Weis Markets will also offer more savings. Coupons can be doubled up to 99 cents. Danyell Fenner, a Weis Market Resetter, is excited about the converted supermarket in Rehoboth Beach.
"Low prices and great products. They offer alot. The food, the meats, the color of the meats. I mean I like Weis markets. It's better than any other market I've been to," said Fenner.
The four store conversions are among 38 conversions happening in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware.
