Meleda is one of 65 people who have gone from homeless to housed through Love INC’s system of support and accountability. After losing her father, she suddenly found herself without a home. Through Love INC, she connected with a case manager, took transformational courses, met regularly with a mentor, and received financial assistance - support that helped her rebuild her life and secure housing. Love INC’s mission is simple: meet people in their time of need and walk with them toward lasting change. Many people on Delmarva are still experiencing homelessness, and winter is the most critical time. Love INC’s Code Purple program provides safe, warm shelter every night from December 1–March 15 across Sussex County churches. Last year, 267 people were sheltered.
