(HARRINGTON, Del.)- The Harrington Police Department arrested Maurice Collins, 64, of the 100 Block of Dorman St. on June 20, after he resisted arrest with officers.
While on patrol at 1:50 pm police were called to Dorman St. for a report of a male walking down the road being disorderly and cursing.
Police were given a description of the male and Collins was located and stopped by police due to him fitting the description of the suspect. While speaking to Collins he was yelling and cursing at Officers and refused to comply with the officers commands.
The officer attempted to take Collins into custody and Collins began resisting arrest with the officer and attempted to kick the officer. After a short struggle Collins was taken into custody.
During the course of the investigation police determined that Collins was at a business on Commerce St. being disorderly with patrons and making sexual comments to patrons.
Police also determined that he stole items from inside the business.
He was transported to Harrington Police Department for processing.
He was charged with Resisting Arrest with Force, Theft under $1,500 and Disorderly conduct.
He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $3,000 cash only bond.
