LEWES, Del. - During the COVID-19 crisis, some individuals are unable to leave their homes to pick up critical medications. Cape Pharmacy is continuing its effort to serve the community, while keeping them protected.
"We want to make sure that we have all the medications in stock for people that have been coming here routinely to get their medications," says pharmacist and co-owner of Cape Pharmacy, Pat Carroll-Grant.
Carroll-Grant says a lot of medications have been on back order, so the pharmacy is trying to order everything they can, everyday, and find alternate sources so that they do not run out of medication.
"We are very willing to deliver medications to people at home, especially people that are at risk, the elderly, underlying conditions. You don't need to be out so we can take them to your house for you," says Carroll-Grant.
Cape Pharmacy has been complying with CDC guidelines and recommendations by limiting the amount of people waiting inside by offering texts or calls to customers when their prescription is ready. It's also practicing social distancing and cleaning card readers after each use.
The pharmacy delivers to Lewes, and also can stretch out to areas like Milton and Rehoboth Beach.
