(GREENWOOD, Del.) - Troopers have arrested a 42-year-old Tier 2 sex offender from Greenwood after he attempted to solicit a sexual favor from his step-daughter.

Troopers responded to a residence on Hickman Road, west of Greenwood, Thursday April 9, 2015 after the mother of a 15-year-old female was informed that Kenneth D. Warren, 42, had propositioned her daughter the previous day (April 8th) in order for her to have a friend spend the night. The following day (April 9th) Warren began sending his step-daughter multiple text messages stating she "owed" him.

Kenneth Warren was taken into custody at the residence and transported back to Troop 3 near Camden. He was charged with Unlawful Sexual Conduct Against a Child by a Sex Offender and Sexual Solicitation of a Child Under 18 to Engage in Prohibited Sexual Acts. He was arraigned at JP7 and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $100,000.00 secured bond and a no contact order with anyone under the age of 18.

Because of the sensitivity of this case, and in consideration of the victim, only limited information will be released. Kenneth Warren is a medium risk Tier 2 sex offender from a 2003 Unlawful Sexual Contact 2nd conviction.
