Milton Arts Guild Holds Spring Fling As A Kickoff To Getting Back To Normal Hours

MILTON, Del.- The Milton Arts Guild hosted a Spring Fling Market this past weekend to celebrate the reopening of their showroom.

Artists’ work was available for purchase including pieces made from glass, paint, and other materials. The non-profit will be opening its doors Thursday through Saturday 11pm to 3pm which they were unable to do previously because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Vice President Lynda Rae Gannon was excited to be able to host another market with a lot of meaning showing through the pieces showcased.

"We have 16 vendors who brought their materials in and every artist has sold something which is really neat," Gannon said. "We have a show going on called 'Celebrations' and that is all work that was done during COVID."

Gannon also says virtual classes have been popular with artists joining in from places like England and India. The guild’s gallery is planning to move during the summer to its new Federal Street location.
