Charlie Sokaitis has 20 years of experience in television news. That career has taken him to nearly every corner of the nation and, at times, the globe.
Charlie moved to Delmarva to join CoastTV in 2021 and has since anchored just about every newscast at the station. Currently, Charlie is on the news desk at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. He is also the co-host of CoastLife, CoastTV's hour-long lifestyle show.
A graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Charlie started his career covering sports. He's covered the Super Bowl, the U.S. Open Golf Tournament, the Olympics in Sochi, Russia, even the Iditarod sled dog race, but in 2018 he made the switch to news. It's a job he loves in a place that has beat every expectation he had when he moved to the area. He loves covering the coast and telling the stories of the people that live here on Delmarva.
In his personal life, Charlie spends most of his time chasing around his cats, working on the yard, and trying to steal a smile from his incredible wife, Leah.
