Students and industry representatives came together to research the Delaware Bay using robotics from mapping the bay with sonar to detecting fish. 

LEWES, Del. The University of Delaware College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment and Delaware Sea Grant hosted their inaugural Autonomous Systems Bootcamp.

The showcase took place on Aug. 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the UD Hugh R. Sharp Marine Studies Campus in Lewes. 

Students and industry representatives came together to research the Delaware Bay using robotics from mapping the bay with sonar to detecting fish. 

"So this was a very intense but really fun introduction to getting to know kind of what the whole field's about and getting to meet people who have actually been working in it for years," said Anna George, a UD PhD student.
