(Wytheville, Va) - Virginia has 44 new State Troopers, and one is a familiar face in Chincoteague. Trooper Brandon M. Tripp returns home to Accomack County for his first patrol. The 23 year old Chincoteague native joined the Virginia State Police "...because it is an agency that many people look up to and trust"...and an agency that "...offers a fulfilling career." During his four years of service with the Army Reserves, Tripp served in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. He earned an associate's degree in business administration from Kaplan University and is active in his community as a firefighter with the New Church Volunteer Fire Department.
