(Rehoboth Beach, Del) - A pedestrian is in critical condition after he was struck in a parking lot in Rehoboth Beach. Delaware State Police say it happened around 6 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2017, in the Safeway parking lot. The elderly man was struck by a woman from Maryland while she was attempting to exit the parking lot. The man was taken to a local hospital, then transferred to Christiana Hospital in Newark. The driver, Melissa Nearing of Greenbelt, Maryland was charged with DUI.
