President Biden & First Lady Expected In Rehoboth Beach For Rest & Relaxation

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- To start on Friday, President Biden had encouraging news on the job front.

"Our economy is on the move," Biden said. "This morning, we learned in October our economy created 531,000 jobs. Well above expectations.

After paying respects to Former Secretary of State Colin Powell at his funeral in Washington, he and the first lady were expected to get on Marine One en route to Rehoboth Beach but their departure has been delayed.

President Biden could be here for some rest and relaxation after his trip to Europe and may still be dealing with some jet lag. Manager at Urban Float Lindsey Johnson explains that time in the theta state could be best for him.

"An hour of theta is equivalent to five to seven hours of sleep," Johnson said. "So an hour of floating can help you physically feel better from feeling cramped on a plane like this, but it can also help you feel that sense of relaxation. It can help re-establish your circadian rhythms so you can get back into a normal sleeping pattern."

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

Ellis Richman had some advice with how the President and first lady can enjoy their time in Rehoboth this weekend.

"Go for a nice walk on the beach with his shepherd," Richman said. "And then I think walk over here get some Thrasher’s fries, a large fries. Walk around the corner to Doggie Style. Get him a hot dog. Head back to the beach. Finish him off. By the time he’s done that that’s the perfect cure for jet lag."

The Bidens are expected to be here until Sunday. First Lady Jill Biden has a trip planned to Virginia on Monday.

Another trip from the first couple who you may be able to see around the city over the next few days.
