A new AP-NORC/AAPI data poll finds that Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islander adults have become more disillusioned with President Donald Trump and Republicans as the midterm elections approach. This gives Democrats a substantial edge on major issues like the economy and healthcare. The poll shows that Trump's approval on the economy has slipped among AAPI adults since he took office again, and the issue is one of their top voting priorities. But even though Democrats have gained a clear advantage on the economy and immigration, AAPI adults are still split on the party as a whole.
