A group of 150 people from 50 countries has become U.S. citizens at George Washington's Mount Vernon estate. The ceremony took place on Monday, 250 years after the Declaration of Independence. Among the new citizens was U.S. Marine Sgt. Diakaria Sangare from Guinea. The crowd, dressed in their best, stood for the national anthem and recited the Oath of Allegiance. A re-enactor portraying George Washington welcomed them, saying, "America belongs to you every bit as much as it does to me.”
