Three former crew members of a Thai cargo ship struck in the Strait of Hormuz in March have filed a lawsuit against the vessel’s operator. They allege labor rights violations and unfair dismissal. The Mayuree Naree was hit by a projectile north of Oman on March 11, killing three crew members. The plaintiffs claim the company unnecessarily endangered their lives by sailing through the risky area. They say they were dismissed before completing their contracts and received inadequate compensation. All three have been diagnosed with PTSD, affecting their ability to work. The case was filed with the Central Labor Court in Bangkok.
