U.K. authorities have arrested two Latvian men after they were discovered inside the perimeter of an RAF base that houses U.S. and NATO intelligence operations. Authorities said Thursday that the men were detained at RAF Molesworth after a small hole was found in the perimeter fence. The base is 70 miles or 112 kilometers north of London and is operated by the U.S. Air Force. It includes personnel from the U.S. Africa Command and NATO. The Latvian men are ages 32 and 36. They face charges of trespass and criminal damage. Counterterrorism police are investigating because of the nature of the offense.
