FOR NORTHWESTERN SUSSEX...SOUTHWESTERN KENT AND SOUTHEASTERN CAROLINE
COUNTIES...

At 947 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Andrewsville,
or 18 miles northeast of Hurlock, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Denton, Harrington, Bridgeville, Greensboro, Oakland, Ridgely,
Goldsboro, Smithville, Agner, Griffin, Andrewsville, Greenwood,
Houston, and Farmington.

People at the Delaware State Fair should seek safe shelter
immediately!

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move
indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers.
Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck
by lightning.

Delaware Bay waters south of East Point NJ to Slaughter Beach DE...

At 945 PM EDT, an area of strong thunderstorms were located near
the Buoy 4fb area, moving southeast at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Five Fathoms Buoy, Cape May Point, Buoy 2ms, Buoy 4fb, and Cape May
Reef.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

Light, moving east at 20 knots.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

Fortesque Beach, Brown Shoal Light, Fourteen Foot Bank Light,
Slaughter Beach, Cape Henlopen, East Point, Bowers Beach, Woodland
Beach, Miah Maull Light, Ship John Shoal Light, Brandywine Shoal
Light, and Cross Ledge Light.
