The Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation has awarded the Milford Public Library a grant of $2,916 to support public access to the Mango Languages database, a language-learning application that offers over 70 conversational language courses.

Enrollment for English as a Second Language, or ESL, classes has doubled from the 2022 school year at Sussex Technical Adult Education, prompting the addition of classes at some sites and the opening of new locations to accommodate the significant increase.

To help those who have come to Sussex County and are yet to learn English, Greg Hitz began organizing ESL classes at the Lewes Public Library around six years ago.
