French far-right leader Marine Le Pen and her National Rally party are standing by her running mate, Jordan Bardella, amid media accusations of antisemitism. Bardella, who Le Pen says will be her prime minister if she wins the presidency, denies making antisemitic remarks attributed to him by investigative website Mediapart. The comments allegedly date back over a decade when Bardella was a young party member. On Tuesday, Le Pen and Bardella dismissed the allegations as an attempt to destabilize their campaign. Bardella has launched a libel action against Mediapart, calling the claims a "dirty-tricks operation."
