House Democrats are preparing a vast oversight agenda if the party sweeps control in the November elections. They're planning investigations of President Donald Trump, his family and his administration, as well as alleged corporate wrongdoing. Being in the majority means bigger budgets and committee staff, along with the ability to investigate, subpoena and course-correct what the Democrats say are widespread abuses of power and corruption. Impeachment of the president and Cabinet officials isn't off the table. House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries is in line to become speaker if Democrats win the House. He says Democrats will “hold the crooks accountable.”
