Karl Bushby is completing his 28-year journey to walk around the world, returning to his mother's home in Northern England. On Monday, he crossed the Humber Bridge into Hull, greeted by cheering crowds. Bushby began his trek in 1998 from Punta Arenas, Chile, covering 31,000 miles across four continents and 30 countries. He navigated ice, swam seas and faced bureaucratic challenges. Originally estimating 12 years, the journey took much longer. He dodged war zones and endured jail time. Now 57, Bushby plans to reunite with family, including meeting his granddaughter for the first time.
