Lindsay Clancy’s attorney is asking a Massachusetts judge to acquit her of charges that she killed her three young children. Her trial ended in a mistrial. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington argues prosecutors failed to prove Clancy was criminally responsible and that the case should not be tried twice. Eleven of 12 jurors were prepared to find Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity. Clancy’s defense said she was suffering from postpartum psychosis when she killed her children in 2023. Prosecutors said she knew what she was doing. If the judge grants the motion, Clancy would not face another trial.
