Monday marked the official groundbreaking for the new Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) downtown substation, a project that has been years in the making.

The OCDC is actively working with businesses in downtown Ocean City to mitigate the student worker housing crisis. In support of these efforts, the organization has announced a substantial grant aimed at encouraging local businesses to develop or refurbish workforce housing.

The Ocean City Development Corporation has proposed a new parking solution for the town of Ocean City. The fee in lieu parking would allow new developments to not be responsible for providing parking, if they pay a fee to the town. The fee will be used to pay for public multi level parking.
The Ocean City Police Department and the Ocean City Development Corporation have come together with a plan to build a Police Department substation on Somerset street in downtown Ocean City. The project just needs to get approved by the Town Council.
