Multiple fire departments responded to a large vegetation fire on Ponderosa Drive on Saturday. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company reported that the fire in Seaford originated from a cooking mishap in the woods. A smoke advisory is in place for this area as it continues to smolder.

A 25-year-old Georgetown man was arrested early Monday morning following a high-speed pursuit that ended in Seaford.
