State Police and the Department of Health and Social Services announced on Friday that Kent County is now seeing suspected drug overdoses that require intubation and a level of care seen in Sussex County during its recent overdose spike.

According to data from the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, there were 527 accidental drug overdose deaths in 2023, representing a 1.8% decrease compared to 2022.
