President Donald Trump has transformed the White House Rose Garden by adding statues of America’s founders. The garden now features sculptures of George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Ben Franklin and a new bronze of Thomas Jefferson alongside a fifth sculpture named “Freedom’s Charge." Colorado-based sculptor George Lundeen gifted the statue of Jefferson signing the Declaration of Independence. Trump’s interest in statues extends beyond the Rose Garden, with plans for a statue garden of famous Americans near the National Mall. The Rose Garden makeover is part of Trump’s broader effort to leave a lasting mark on the nation's capital.
