Sussex County Habitat for Humanity Hosts Trunk or Treat

LEWES, Del.- Sussex County Habitat for Humanity hosts a trunk or treat for two hundred kids.

In order to limit the amount of people at the Restore, a maximum of one hundred kids gathered candy from four to five p.m. and another one hundred kids had their turn the hour after.

Habitat staff and volunteers dressed up themselves and their cars while passing out candy making for a fun evening.

"I've always enjoyed Halloween," D.B. Hunt of Millsboro said. "It is all about the kids. This is our first trunk or treat. It was a great turnout and a lot of fun."

Habitat staff enjoys putting the event on every year and was able to tweak original plans so everyone could feel safe. They also hosted a food drive for the Food Bank of Delaware.
