(GEORGETOWN, Del.)- The trail for a Dagsboro man accused of murdering a Millsboro mother of three won't happened until 2016, according to court documents.
Matthew Burton, 30, of Dagsboro, was extradited from Worcester County back to Delaware last month.
The trial is expected to begin in April 2016.
Burton is charged with 1st and 2nd degree rape, 1st and 2nd degree murder and kidnapping charges in connection with the murder of then 35-year-old Nicole Bennett, in June 2012.
Her body was found in Worcester County in a ditch, south of the church they both worked for, Bay Shore Community Church in Gumboro.
Since the body was found in Maryland, Burton was initially charged there, but as police developed more evidence, they determined that the murder actually happened in Delaware at the church.
Burton is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, where he is being held without bail awaiting trial.
