(DOVER, Del.) - 17-year-old Michael Taylor of Dover was arrested after shooting another 17-year-old Saturday.
Dover Police say it happened around 3:34 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, on East Water Street/New Castle Avenue in Dover. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for his injury and was in stable condition.
Officers' investigation led to the development of Taylor as a suspect in the shooting. Taylor was arrested without incident.
Taylor was charged with the following offenses:
-Assault 1st Degree
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Criminal Mischief
-Illegal Gang Participation
Bond information was not available at time of release.
