A New Way to View Southern Delaware with the "Paddle and Stay" Promotion

SUSSEX COUNTY, Del.- A new way to spend and save. Southern Delaware Tourism is getting people out and about with the new Paddle and Stay promotion.

"Jet skis are popular, boating is very popular, but people want to get out and about especially post pandemic. We are looking at an area with recovery where people want to enjoy the great outdoors. This is one of the ways we can accomplish that," said Benjamin Gray, area manager at The Bellmoor Inn & Spa.

A New Way to View Southern Delaware with the "Paddle and Stay" Promotion

Sign up for the promotion at one of the 14 participating hotels. Tell them you want to sign up for Paddle and Stay, and that will get you exclusive access to discounts and deals at participating businesses and restaurants. This includes deals on rentals and discounts on thrashers fries. It also gets you an exclusive map to help you decide where to paddle.

"It outlines areas, one of them for instance is the Broadkill River. Maybe you can start in Milton and end in Lewes or somewhere in between. Talks about how long they are, activity levels, how you want to plan for it," said Scott Thomas with Southern Delaware Tourism.

Southern Delaware Tourism assures that Paddle and Stay is for beginners up to pros. Merchants involved like Delaware Paddlesports can help you buy and rent equipment, as well as offer tours and lessons.
