AAA Study Finds Men are More Aggressive Drivers than Women

DELAWARE- Men tending to be more aggressive on the roadways, according to AAA men tend to have more aggressive driving habits than women. But some people seem to think things are pretty even when it comes to the roads. In a study done by AAA it did find that men were more aggressive drivers meaning that they tend to speed, give some of those rude gestures, merge and also do other things on the road more aggressively than women typically do.  "I can think of some female friends that are quite aggressive, said Rachel Derliunas.  Despite the study done by AAA some people are leaning towards women being more aggressive behind the wheel.  Marissa Biddings, from Pennsylvania said, "My female friends are like real aggressive and really fast, I do think it depends, I wouldn't say across the board that men are more aggressive."  Information released by AAA, showing that across the board men admitted to having more aggressive habits than women. Including things like speeding, aggressive merging, rude hand gestures and much more. Some women say they are definitely safer behind the wheel, but others may not do the same.

"I think we both drive like old ladies. Yeah, I'm from a family of aggressive female drivers and I think that I grew up seeing that so I try to be safe," said Rachel.  AAA says if you come across an aggressive driver remember to slow down, breathe, and create a safe distance between you and that driver. Ken Grant, AAA Mid-Atlantic Spokesperson said, "2020 has been a frustrating year and now we're into the holiday season and there's all the pressures, it's very easy to get frustrated with everything else and take it out on the road."  But for some people, safety is the number one priority   Rachel said, "I get easily stressed out behind the wheel so I'm usually focuses on my own safety and my passengers safety."  Regardless of gender AAA also says that 8 in 10 Americans demonstrate aggressive driving behaviors when they get behind the wheel of a car.
