Cape Henlopen Goes Blue for Child Abuse Prevention

LEWES, Del.- Students, teachers, and staff in the Cape Henlopen School District were all blue on Friday--but in a good way.

Cape took part in National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and all wore blue outfits to raise awareness for the cause. Assistant Superintendent Jenny Nauman says the district used the hashtag phrase Make #GreatChildhoods Happen to help lift up the cause.

"It's what we do as a district in Cape: we are a family," she says. "When things like this happen, we want to work together and support our kids together, so having everybody do it makes it extra special."

April has been National Child Abuse Prevention Month since 1983.
