LEWES, Del. - The Cape Henlopen School District will be holding a recognition ceremony for the Class of 2020 on July 27th at 6:30 p.m. inside Legends Stadium at Cape Henlopen High School.
The school district released a statement that said in part "In the spring of 2020, a virtual graduation ceremony was held with the plan that once the additional COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, and we could bring the entire class and their families together to celebrate, we would. Now, with the ability to gather together again, we are looking forward to hosting a recognition ceremony for the class of 2020, that will replicate our typical commencement ceremony.
TO MAKE UP FOR NO IN-PERSON GRADUATION, STAFF MEMBERS DID THEY BEST THEY COULD TO MAKE recognize students for their hard work. THEY HAD A DRIVE THROUGH GRADUATION CELEBRATION, a virtual graduation with Jimmie Allen, and staff members and Miller hand delivered diplomas.
If there is inclement weather the ceremony will be held in the theatre.
