Tuesday, Delaware Democrat Representative Kimberly Williams introduced House Bill 159. The goal of the bill, which has bipartisan support, is to amend Title 14 of the Delaware Code. That portion of state code has to do with school property tax exemptions.
Lead outreach worker Michelle Gibbs says one of the many ways they serve seniors is by taking care of their pets too. Gibbs says a lot of seniors share their food with their pets so they don't go hungry. Gibbs donated two big bags of dog food to one man on Monday.
CHEER serves are an adult day center for individuals aged 50 and older. According to their website, the cost for yearly membership is $30 and can be used at all seven cheer center locations.
