Celebrating Lewes Business Owner on International Women's Day

(LEWES, Del.) - Today women all over the world are being celebrated. In honor of International women's day we interviewed a woman who's accomplished a lot on Delmarva.

Leisa Berlin, a registered nurse who moved to Lewes with her family in 1989, has been a big influence in the area.

"I started a wedding cake catering company, and every 5 years after that I've opened a new business," Leisa tells WRDE.

Right now she owns Edie Bees Confectionary Shop on Second Street, and The Station on Kings Hwy, which recently opened.

The Station is comprised of five different areas, including a bakery, coffee bar, restaurant, gift shop, and garden center. So whether you're shopping for your home, yard, or stomach-you'll find something at The Station.

Leisa's children have followed in her footsteps. Her son owns Agave and her daughter owns Nectar Café and Juice Bar on Second Street.

"I have wanted them to do what makes them happy," says Leisa.
