Christmas Music Returns to the Radio, On 107.1 The Duck

CAMBRIDGE, Md- We are starting to see signs of Christmas all around us, and now, we are hearing them! Monday marked the first day Christmas music is back on 107.1 The Duck.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! But as we all know, this year, has not been wonderful.

"It's the year 2020. The year of people at home, kids at home. People are unemployed, struggling to pay bills. Did I mention COVID? COVID, COVID, COVID. If we ever needed Christmas music it's this year," said radio operations manager, Joe Edwards.

But while our holiday festivities are looking smaller and smaller, Shane Walker says they can still be holly and jolly.

"Time to get in the spirit of the season! We are ready to get together as safely as we can. If we can't get together like we want, we can turn on 107 The Duck and think, wow, I remember listening to this...If we can't get together at least we can have the memories," said radio talent, Shane Walker.

Starting Monday, The Duck has something to keep everyone in the spirit!

You're going to hear everything. It's variety. Bing Crosby, the classics, and Pentatonix, the more recent stuff. It's going through the generations," said Edwards.

Christmas music will be played continuously throughout the season. But if you do need a break from the Jingle Bell Rock, you can download the 107.1 The Duck app for all your favorite hits from the 50's, 60's, and 70's.

Christmas music is playing right now, until December 27.
