Kathy McGuiness

McGuiness previously held the position of state auditor until a conviction of conflict of interest in hiring her daughter pushed her to resign in Oct. 2022. She is the only statewide elected official ever prosecuted while in office. However, she is endorsed by former speaker of the house, Pete Schwartzkopf. McGuiness was a City of Rehoboth Commissioner from 2000-2012 and 2014-2018, a pharmacist and small business owner.
