Torie joined CoastTV's team in September of 2021. She graduated from the University of Delaware in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications and a minor in Journalism. Before working at CoastTV, Torie interned with Delaware Today and Delaware State News. She also freelanced with Delaware State News following her internship.
The winner of the Republican Primary for Senate District 18, which encompasses the Ellendale area, is incumbent Dave Wilson.
Dave Wilson is a graduate of Milford High School and was a farmer before pursuing politics. He served in the Delaware House of Representatives from 2008 to 2018 and in the Senate from 2018 to present. Wilson has been on several committees including Agriculture, Capital Improvement, Corrections and Public Safety, Health and Social Services and Veteran Affairs.
