(WILMINGTON, Del.) - Delaware State Police robbery unit detectives are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a male suspect who has committed the armed robbery of two North Wilmington area banks on three separate occasions since May of this year.
The suspect is described as a white male 25-35 years of age. He is 5'10"-6'00" tall and has a medium build.
The male suspect (pictured) is believed to have committed the armed robbery of the Artisans Bank, located at 3631 Silverside Road, Wilmington, on May 14th, and again on June 8th. He is also suspected of committing the robbery of WSFS Bank located at 2005 Concord Pike, Wilmington, on July 24th.
In each of the incidents, the suspect, who was armed with an unknown make and model gun, entered the bank branch and approached a bank teller. He would then display the weapon and demand money from the cash drawers. In each robbery the teller complied with the suspect's demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to him. The suspect would then flee from the bank in an unknown direction. There were no injuries in any of the incidents.
