Dover Man Arrested For Violating Abuse Order

(HARRINGTON, Del.)- The Harrington Police Department arrested Robert W. Draper 46, of the 1000 Block of Artis Dr. in Dover, due to him violating a court order.

While on patrol police responded to the first block of Reed Streets on May 31 in Harrington after the female victim called police to report that Draper had contacted the her via text message.

The victim has an active Protection from Abuse Order that prohibits Draper from contacting the victim.

This order was issued by Kent County Family Court due to a previous incident involving Draper and the victim.

Police obtained a warrant for Draper and he was taken into custody at his residence by Delaware State Police.

Draper was then turned over to the Harrington Police Department.

He was processed and charged with one count of Violation of Protective Order.

He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was released on $500 unsecured bond.
