(Dover, De) Dover Police are investigating an armed robbery early Wednesday morning at a motel on North DuPont Highway. Police say the 79 year old clerk was followed into the office by a suspect that produced a knife and demanded money. The clerk then grabbed the knife and struggled with the suspect. He then strangled the clerk until he turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled across US Route 13 where a witness saw him get on a bike and flee northbound. The suspect was described as 6'1" and approximately 200 pounds, possibly wearing orange gloves, white shirt (covering part of his face), and grey pants.
