(DOVER, Del.)- A 35-year-old Dover man was charged with attempted murder after a shooting at the Driftwood Spirits Liquor Store on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at 133 South Bradford Street, when 33-year-old male victim entered the establishment.
The clerk, Michael Brodie, was inside of the cooler at the time. When the victim opened the cooler door, Brodie began to fire a 9mm handgun at the victim.
As the victim fled, Brodie gave chase, firing additional rounds at the victim.
Once the victim exited the store, he fell onto his back on South Bradford Street.
Brodie stood over the victim and shot twice more at the victim. The victim suffered minor graze wounds and no life threatening injuries.
Brodie was apprehended by police without incident.
It is believed that Brodie and the victim have had previous run-ins, which had led to the victim being banned from the Driftwood Spirits business.
The shooting is the 3rd incident in as many days in the City of Dover with the 1st occurring on Friday, October 31st and the second on Saturday, November 1st.
