Dozens of Firefighters Battle Snow Hill Blaze

SNOW HILL, Md.- Nearly fifty firefighters spent hours trying to put out a massive fire at a Snow Hill lumber yard.

Snow Hill Fire Chief Trey Heiser says the fire was contained to a saw dust shed on Route 12, however, high winds took the seven fire companies hours to put out the blaze.

"It was complicated," he says. "It was hard to contain for a while, but once we got enough tankers here and enough man power, we got it controlled pretty quick."

Chief Heiser declares the building as a total loss, though the owners of the Millville Lumber Company chose not to comment.
